Fourth Annual Paoli Winter Games This Saturday!

The Hop Garden in Paoli, WI will deliver an afternoon of winter fun that Wisconsinites can get behind! Brat Toss, Empty Keg Throw, Hopenslaugen and Stein Holding contests await! Teams of two required. Free to participate. Live music, craft beer, chili, and winter games unlike anything you’ve seen before await.

Sat., Feb. 18 ^th , 2-4pm. Bring a buddy and go head-to-head against other teams of two to see who can throw an empty keg the farthest, toss and catch a brat without dropping it, hold a stein of beer the longest without spilling and hammer it home the fastest in Hopenslaugen. Athleticism isn’t necessary for these winter games, but a sense of humor most definitely is.

3-6 pm – Live music by Travis Agnew

4:30pm – 2023 Winter Games Winning Team Announced

5th Annual Chili Cook Off - Sunday, Oct. 2!

Fall is right around the corner, and that means flannels, football, fire pits, beer and CHILI!!!! Grab the family, bring the dog, and join us for the 5th annual Chili Contest! $5 gets you a bottomless bowl, spoon, and a vote. The variety is always plentiful as returning chili chefs and new competitors alike compete for the best chili. We love our dogs, so proceeds once again will go to support the Green County Humane Society. Come early for the Farmers' Market, stay for chili, and then tap your toes to classic rock and country tunes by Whoz Playing. We're well aware you might have a Packer game to get home to, but there's plenty to do in Paoli before they beat the Patriots!

Paoli Winter Games Rescheduled to March 5!

Brat Toss, Keg Throw, Hopenslaugen, Soup Contest, Live Music and More!

Due to an unfavorable weather forecast the Paoli Winter Games have been rescheduled to March 5 . The Hop Garden will deliver an afternoon of winter fun unlike anything else! Participate or Spectate! Either way, fire pits, fresh air, cold beer and warm soup awaits.

1pm - Soup Contest! Compete or Eat! Sign up in the Tap Room to participate with your favorite soup, or enjoy a bottomless bowl for only $6. Proceeds to benefit Paul's Party .

2-4pm - Winter Games! Bring a buddy and go head to head against other teams of two to see who can throw an empty keg the farthest, toss and catch a brat like no other, make it the furthest without spilling a full stein of beer, and hammer it home the fastest in hopenlaugen. Athleticism isn't necessary for these winter games, but a sense of humor most definitely is!

Head to Paoli on Saturday, Dec. 4th to celebrate Christmas in Paoli! Paoli shops and merchants will be hosting a cookie crawl, starting at 10am at Lily's Mercantile. The Hop Garden will have several local and loved pop up shops in our Loft including Sugar River Bakery, Pete's Eggs and Honey, Rhodas Mustard, Pauls Party Cheese and Beer, Sugar River Kettle Korn, and Hop Garden Farm Products - (Garlic, Squash and Yukon Gold Potatoes).

Live Music is Back in the Loft! We kick it off on Friday from 6-8 with the Ross Meyer of Radiant Beings. Saturday we have Hugo Espinoza from 4-7pm and Sunday we have Madison Red and the KGB from 1-4pm.

Sunday, October. 10 is Fall Fest in Paoli! Not only do we have a lot going on at The Hop Garden and Paoli Mill Park & Terrace, there are events and activities happening throughout Paoli, including face and pumpkin painting, artists, trunk shows, specials the fall color paddle along the Sugar River, chili, cider, pumpkin beer and so much more.

Pumpkins at The Hop Farm

Make pumpkin picking a fun excursion this year! Gather the family and enjoy a country drive to The Hop Farm this fall, located just 6 miles south of Paoli’s Hop Garden Tap Room. We’ve done the heavy lifting and selected the very best of our home-grown Hop Farm Pumpkins for you to choose from. (Field picking not available at this time.) This year’s crop of pumpkins is available in three different sizes: basketball, large and x-large. Gourds, straw bales, fresh tomatoes, garlic and potatoes are also available. We are operating the farm stand as self-serve, so cash, check and venmo are all acceptable forms of payment.

The hop Farm is located at N8668 County Rd D, Belleville, WI 53508.

This Weekend at The Hop Garden 9/23-9/26

Fall is officially here! And the Paoli weekend forecast is full of sunshine, beer, live music, and great times! Here’s what’s happening at The Hop Garden this weekend!

Thursday from 5-8pm, Old Black Joe and Friends take the stage with Chicago-style blues and rock.

Skip the fish fry on Friday and opt in for Shrimp Tacos and let Down From The Hills entertain you with bluegrass, folk and country music from 5-8pm.

Saturday The Rascal Theory will rock the stage from 1-8pm.

Come early on Sunday for a breakfast burrito and cup of coffee, browse the Farmers’ Market, and Day Drink in the park! The Radiant Beings run the stage with classic rock and americana, followed by Clarksville Station from 2-5pm.

Heads up! Our annual chili cook off is back! Mark your calendar for Oct. 3, 12-2pm, and join us for a bottomless bowl of chili! Sample the contenders' favorite chili recipes and vote for your favorite. Cost is $5, and all net proceeds go to Green County Humane Society. Want to compete? Great Weekend Ahead 9/10-9/12!

Head to the Paoli Mill Terrace & Park tonight and pair cold beer with shrimp taco’s while enjoying live music from the Radiant Beings. Saturday the incredible Elizabeth Mary takes the stage from 1-4pm followed by the super talented, all-women rock/blues band IMOK (If Mom Only Knew) at 5pm. Our Sunday morning Farmers' Market and Breakfast kicks off at 9am, with music from Last Minute Notice from 10am-1pm, followed by Hoot and Hollers from 2pm-5pm. It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in the park! We hope to see you!

The Weather is cooling down, but it will be HOT in the Beer Garden this weekend! We will kick it off with Live Music from the Trophy Husbands today, Friday the 13th, from 5-8pm. Then Saturday is the Madison Area Music Association Fundraiser. $10 donation per adult gets you all-day access. No pets please, and we suggest you bring a chair. Sunday is the Paoli Farmers' Market beginning at 9am and The Rascal Theory will perform from 10 am until 5pm! Our Farm is in full Swing this Summer!

An Abundance in our New Greenhouse

We have been putting in new rhizomes and plants this year, so we are in a bit of a transition. We’re also focusing on altering some of our Farm management practices. We are making great strides, and hoping for a more normal hop farm next year.

Our new green house is producing an abundance of veggies now. Look for fresh garlic, four types of cherry/grape tomatoes, slicer tomato’s (perfect for a BLT), jalapenos, cucumbers and fresh cut flowers and sunflowers at the Sunday Famer’s Market at Paoli Mill Park, which runs 9am-1pm.

Our harvested veggies, including tomatillos, Carolina large romas and pablanos, are a welcome addition to the menu at Molino Taqueria. The salsa is amazing, and it sure doesn’t get fresher than that! Hope to see you at the Farmers’ market.

And remember, any unsold veggies will be available in the Hop Garden Tap Room until close.
